Walaupun kita di rumah aja, jangan lupa buat tetap pakai sunscreen, ya. Kita tetap perlu pakai sunscreen karena sinar matahari, khususnya sinar UVA masih bisa menembus kaca, lho. Sinar UVA sendiri memiliki efek negatif terhadap kesehatan kulit kita, kayak flek, sun spots, dan kerutan. Hiih...serem banget kan? Kalau sunscreen yang dipakai di muka, itu udah gue pakai setiap hari. Tapi, kalau sunscreen badan, jujur gue masih bolong-bolong pakainya, jadi kadang pakai kadang nggak (banyakan nggaknya, sih hehehe). Bisa jadi, postingan ini sekalian buat ngingetin diri sendiri biar rajin pakai sunscreen di tubuh dan muka setiap hari.

Eh tapi sebelum masuk ke review produk, kita kenalan dulu yuk sama yang namanya physical dan chemical sunscreen. Soalnya dua jenis sunscreen ini pasti udah sering kita dengar dan mungkin pembaca November Flower blog masih bingung apa sih bedanya kedua jenis sunscreen ini. Sekarang, jangan bingung-bingung lagi ya, mending langsung aja bacain penjelasannya di bawah ini!

Mengenal physical sunscreen dan chemical sunscreen

Pasti lo udah pada dengar dua jenis sunscreen yang beredar di pasaran ini, yaitu physical sunscreen dan chemical sunscreen. Apa bedanya sih kedua jenis sunscreen ini? Terus, sunscreen jenis apa yang cocok sama jenis kulit gue? Yuk, cari tahu bedanya di sini!

Physical sunscreen (inorganic sunscreen)

Physical sunscreen terdiri dari dua jenis UV filter, yaitu Titanium dioxide dan Zinc oxide. Physical sunscreen bekerja dengan cara menghalangi sinar UV. Physical sunscreen dapat langsung melindungi kulit dari sinar UV begitu diaplikasikan. Tekstur physical sunscreen cenderung lebih thick dan meninggalkan whitecast di wajah.

Chemical sunscreen (organic sunscreen)

Kalau physical sunscreen terdiri dari dua macam UV filter, chemical sunscreen punya beberapa macam UV filter, contohnya octocrylene, ethylexyl salicylate, homosalate, avobenzone, dan lainnya. Berbeda dengan physical sunscreen yang menghalangi sinar UV, chemical sunscreen menyerap sinar UV dan sinar UV tersebut diproses menjadi panas. Saat memakai chemical sunscreen, kita harus menunggu sekitar 15-20 menit setelah digunakan biar perlindungan terhadap sinar UV nya jadi maksimal.

Nah, itu dia tadi perkenalan singkat dari physical sunscreen dan chemical sunscreen. Sekarang, kita langsung masuk ke review aja, yuk. Kali ini, gue mau mereview sunscreen, lebih tepatnya body sunscreen Eits, jangan salah, kulit tubuh kita pun juga rentan terpapar sinar matahari, jadi harus dilindungi juga dengan sunscreen. Yup, ini dia Nivea Daily Protection Sun Lotion SPF 33 PA+++. Kayak apa sih performa sun lotion ini di kulit gue? Kuy langsung dicek aja reviewnya di sini!

 Packaging Nivea Daily Protection Sun Lotion SPF 33 PA +++

Seperti biasa, kita mulai dulu dari ngomongin packagingnya. Nivea Daily Protection Sun Lotion SPF 33 PA+++ dikemas dalam botol berukuran 100 ml berwarna biru yang merupakan ciri khas brand Nivea. Untuk melindungi produknya, sun lotion ini menggunakan tutup jenis flip top berwarna biru tua. Menurut gue, packagingnya cukup sederhana dan nyaman digenggam, nggak ada yang aneh-aneh. Sayangnya, tutupnya cukup ringkih dan rentan patah kalau nggak hati-hati membukanya. 

Di bagian depan botol, terdapat brand dan nama dari lotion ini sendiri. Lalu, ada tulisan SPF 33 PA+++ yang cukup besar. Kemudian, terdapat klaim produk dan netto. Sedangkan, di bagian belakang botol, terdapat beberapa informasi seperti, ingredients utama, klaim produk, cara pemakaian, ingredients lengkap, barcode,  netto, serta nomor BPOM. Di bagian belakang botol ini menurut gue isinya cukup informatif dan lengkap sehingga kita bisa tahu ingredients dari produk ini dan kegunaannya di kulit tubuh kita.

Tekstur dan Aroma Nivea Daily Protection Sun Lotion SPF 33 PA+++

Seperti namanya, Nivea Daily Protection Sun Lotion SPF 33 PA+++ ini punya tekstur lotion yang agak kental berwarna broken white. Aroma sun lotion ini cukup lembut dan sejauh ini gue nggak ada masalah dengan aromanya. Gue malah suka dengan aromanya yang lembut ini, bikin rileks rasanya hehehe.

Pas lotion ini diratain, rasanya agak lengket di awal dan ada sedikit whitecast (foto ke-2), tapi setelah beberapa menit lotionnya menyerap, whitecastnya mulai hilang dan kulit gue pun terasa lembap. Lembapnya itu termasuk awet lho. Oiya, sun lotion ini kira-kira perlu 2-3 menitan untuk bisa menyerap di kulit.

2. VItamin C: Vitamin C berperan sebagai antioksidan membantu melawan radikal bebas seperti akibat polusi dan paparan sinar ultraviolet. Peran Vitamin C dan sunscreen dapat saling melengkapi satu sama lain sebagai perlindungan dari paparan sinar ultraviolet dan polusi yang dapat memengaruhi kesehatan kulit.

3. Hydra IQ: membantu melembapkan kulit selama lebih dari 24 jam dengan menstimulasi pembentukan Aquaporin atau saluran hidrasi alami kulit.

Review setelah memakai Nivea Daily Protection Sun Lotion SPF 33 PA+++

Gue lebih banyak pakai sun lotion ini selama di rumah aja, mengingat gue lagi jarang banget keluar rumah. Menurut gue, proteksinya cukup buat yang lebih banyak beraktivitas di rumah. Setelah gue pakai  Nivea Daily Protection Sun Lotion ini, hal yang paling gue rasain itu ya lembapnya. Lembapnya awet banget tapi nggak lengket dan nggak pliket di kulit gue. Terus, aromanya juga lembut dan bersahabat dengan indera penciuman. Nggak gampang pilling pula, dan yang paling penting harganya terjangkau banget, cuma Rp 20.000an aja!

Glysolid Glycerin Cream Review + How to Keep Your Skin Hydrated During Rainy Season

 Welcome to rainy season, everyone! I hope that you're okay no matter where you are. You know what? Rainy season can affect our skin condition. Some people might experience a drier skin, while others' might experience a dehydrated skin. If you are experiencing some changes in your skin, these are things that you can do to balance your skin during this season.

1. Apply your sunscreen at every season, every day
Seriously, guys, it's an essential skincare item to begin with. Just because it's cloudy outside, doesn't mean that the sun can't penetrate to the skin. The UV rays can penetrate through clouds and damage our skin. So, apply a good amount of broad-spectrum sunscreen before you go outside.

2. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize
Rainy season = colder air. The changes of air's temperature can be really drying for our skin. Make sure that you moisturize after every washing. The point is, lotion and cream are your best friends for this rainy season. Lastly, don't forget the areas, such as elbow and heels.

3. Don't forget your lips
Remember that chapped lips isn't a cool thing to be proud of. We must ensure that our lips is moisturized all the time. For the daytime usage, apply lipbalm that equipped with SPF (remember to apply your sunscreen everytime!). Meanwhile, for nighttime, you can apply petroleum jelly for extra moisture.

4. Stay hydrated
Whatever the weather is, water should be your best buddy forever. However, since it is rainy, you can have a warmer cup of water. You may add a teaspoon of honey to boost your immune system. Lastly, if you are hydrated from inside, it may shows through our skin!

As I mentioned above, moisturizing your skin is a mandatory action to do in order to achieve a soft and hydrated skin. In this occasion, I would like to tell my experience using a cream, which is Glysolid Glycerin Cream.

Glysolid Glycerin Cream is a cream that contains of glycerin and allantoin. Both of them act as skin softener and protector from dehydration. Furthermore, it contains 50% of glycerin with no mineral oil or petroleum. If you want to know more about this product, keep on reading!

Packaging

Glysolid Glycerin Cream comes with a red metal case. On the top of the lid, there is the product name with Arabic writing. On the side of the case, there is the production date and expired date.

This is the bottom of package. It contains the product's claim, ingredients, the amount of product, barcode, the PAO and BPOM number.

Claims and Ingredients

The main ingredients of Glysolid Glycerin Cream are glycerin and allantoin. Furthermore, it has 50% of glycerin with no mineral oil and petroleum. The product claims that it can smooth, soften, and protect the skin. According to Glysolid's official website, this cream can keep your skin supple and flexible. Moreover, it builds the light film on the skin that protects skin from dehydration and irritation. The light film also calms and soothes skin. Then, the allantoin promotes healing effect and faster skin regeneration.

Texture and How to Use

Glysolid Glycerin Cream has a thick and white-colored cream. This cream smells so soft. It doesn't bother me anyway. I love the smell!

The direction of usage is quite simple, which is by applying the small amount of Glysolid Glycerin Cream on regular basis.

My Experience

First, I will start with the aroma. For me, Glysolid Glycerin Cream has a soft aroma. For the texture, it's kinda too thick for me. It seems that this cream only sits on my skin. Actually, I made a mistake by applying the cream as I apply the body lotion. As a result, my hands and feet feel so sticky and it gets uncomfortable when I sit on the floor because the floor gets sticky as well. Hahaha. Silly me :D

However, I feel the improvement on my feet and elbow. I can feel that those area are instantly moisturized after I rubbed this Glysolid Glycerin Cream.

After using this several times, I might say that this cream might be suitable for those who struggle with an extremely dry skin. For those who have normal skin and still want to use this product, please put only the small amount of it on the parts that are prone to dryness, such as elbow, knee, and heels.
