A Touch of Lurik

white top - Number 61
lurik outer - unbranded
black skirt - Forever 21
white sneakers - Rubi

Hi fellas!

First of all, I would like to thank my friend, Deborah who helped me in preparing this post :))

This kind of style is unusual for me. Why is it unusual? Because I rarely wear skirt when I go to college. I prefer wearing trousers or culotte since I tend to move often (especially running from one class to another). However, one day, I decided to try something different. I finally wore the skirt that I had bought several months before this photoshoot session happened. At first, I wasn't sure to wear it because it turned out that the skirt is a little bit too short for me. That's why I paired it with the long black socks to balance the look itself.

After that, about the top. I chose white t-shirt because it is such a versatile piece that can go well with any kind of look (that's why it becomes a staple). Next, in this look, I wore a lurik outer. I decided to wear this to give a little twist to my monochrome look. At first, I wanted to wear my denim jacket, but, then, I found it too ordinary. Besides, I had worn that kind of combination. Now, let's move to the shoes. At the beginning, I wanted to wear the platform shoes since it can give a more "edgy" look. However, I was almost late coming to class, so I just picked the shoes that easily tied, like these white sneakers. Finally, this look exists.

These pictures were taken around 11 a.m. if I'm not mistaken. At first, me and Deborah wanted to do the photoshoot outside the campus building, but it turned out that the lighting wasn't that proper so we moved to the library. Actually, having a photoshoot in a library is not a bad idea. In fact, the tone of the library matched my lurik outer pretty well.

Once again, thanks to Deborah who took the pictures and edited them as well! :))

hi fellas!

Dear fellas,

Wow...it's 2019 already! It means that the 6th semester is just one step away! It also means that I'm getting older :( Huhuu, I hate being an adult, but, at the same time, I can't help but curious about life after college. Should I join a short course, explore places, or work right away?

I miss writing on this blog, I miss editing and adjusting the layout. Millions of times I took numerous #ootd pictures and edited them, but, most of the time, I can't make them published here.

Now, I'm in my semester break. Yeah...finally, after one and a half month full of papers, I can have a leisure time. I'm currently waiting for my scores to come up. Until today, there are only two subjects left. After I look at my scores several times, hmm, I think I need to work harder in the next semester. Oh yeah, how are you? I hope you're doing great wherever you are.

My holiday isn't really a superb one. Yeah, just lying down in my room, cleaning my room, or sometimes, accompanying my mom. But, there are several things that I am currently doing and I want to make them as habits. Hopefully, these things turn me into a better version of myself:

1. Working Out
Last month, tons of final papers turn workout session into something strange for me. I only did 5 workout sessions. This year, I want to do the workout at least 3 times a week. I use the app "30 Day Fitness Challenge". This app is super great for those who start to workout because it has various levels that can be adjusted to each individual's ability. Then, it has a variety of workouts for each body part, so you can get a more targeted result. Furthermore, there are tutorials to help you doing the exercise. So far, I've reached the target last week. Looking at the benefits, both physically and mentally, I hope I am able to make it as my habit. Go get that abs, gurl!

2. Joining #30HariBercerita challenge
It is a blogging challenge that conducted on Instagram by @30haribercerita. Usually, this challenge held in the beginning of the year. The participants are required to post a picture with their writings. Basically, you can write anything (yes, anything!), then, put the hashtags to mark the day that you post your writing. If you are lucky, your post will be reposted by the account itself. In this challenge, I only posted three pictures and none of them are repsoted by @30haribercerita hehehe. You know, it's hard to come with a whole new and fresh topic every day. Furthermore, I need to choose the appropriate picture and edit it in order to fix the feed as well. However, I enjoy writing long caption for my posts and let my followers read them. It's like getting audience for my book. Besides, I can pour my thoughts there, so, it is good for my mind too. What topic that I should bring up tomorrow?

3. Preparing my audition piece
I use this semester break to prepare a dance piece for an audition next month. Next month, the university ballet club is going to select some members to become participants of either Dance Prix Indonesia or Lanjong. I have practiced until the first part of the chorus. Since we need to perform contemporary dance, there are some turns and leaps. For me, the hardest part of the dance is when I must drop myself on the floor and to get up again in such a short time. I still can't do it beautifully. Come on, Nazz. You're halfway there!

4. Learn photo editing using VSCO
Thanks to my friend who has brought me back to the beauty of VSCO world. Yeah, when I was in high school, I often took random pictures, then edited them using VSCO. For the filters and adjustment tutorial, I usually looked at tutorials that shared on Instagram. Unfortunately, this VSCO tutorial account seems no longer active. Thanks to her, now I have a goal to fix my Instagram feed and to post pictures regularly. Fyi, I have posted three pictures with white borders and the same filter. Should I try the same layout or change it a little bit?

5. Putting makeup on my face
Yeah, I want to learn the art of putting makeup on my face. In order to make it happen, I bought a set of makeup brush, a 3-colored-eyeshadow, and a cream blush on to accompany my eyeliner. My mom also gave me one of her eyeshadow set and some brushes. I want to make a post about the progress of my learning, so, please stay tune!

6. Preparing the next post
Get ready for the next post on this blog, fellas! I have taken and edited some pictures for it. The latest post would be a review. Are you curious enough about the review? Please wait for it, okay!

These are the activities that fill my holiday, fellas. What activity to you like to do in your freetime? I would like to know.

Sincerely yours,

Nazz

Chapter 1

Literature tee: unbranded
Lurik culotte: unbranded
White sneakers: Rubi
Tote bag: unbranded

It's been a while since I drop something here. I miss blogging, I miss writing, I miss taking pictures. I can't wait to share my thoughts with you.

Is it too late to greet you a happy new year? Well, hopefully not :)) I hope that we can fill 2018 with happiness, excitement, enthusiasm, and joy. I also hope that we can turn our goals or targets into reality.  #fingerscrossed.

For me, living in 2017 was like riding a roller-coaster, it was full of ups and downs. However, those ups and downs made my days colorful and fascinating. A park will look boring and dull if it only has one kind of flower, right? So does with our lives. We need pain and joy to make our lives more colorful and to teach us how to become a better human being.

Do you know? Next month, I'm going to be in the 4th semester. Which means halfway to graduation :)) Woah, time flies so fast! What have I done? Where have I been? I'm supposed to achieve something when I'm still in college. Some of my friends have became committee in several campus events, meanwhile some of them have joined student exchange program. However, realizing the goals into reality is such a tough job. Fear, anxiety, and doubts can hinder us from reaching our goals.

If you want to develop your passion or your hobby, JUST DO IT! It is something that adds the value of your life and transforms you into a better person. So, you have to work it until you can make it. This year, I want to love my hobbies even more, which are writing and dancing.

However, there are some things that I need to work on. First, to get rid of my fear. I always have this feeling whenever I upload a photo on my Instagram or upload a blogpost. I am afraid that people will mock my photo or put a mean comment on my blog. I need to learn on how to ignore this feeling and realize that my writings will take some time to develop. If I don't write something and let people see my writings, how will I know that my writing have developed?

Secondly, fight that laziness. I admit that I'm a lazy person. I'd rather playing with my cellphone rather than cleaning my room. I know that this habit isn't healthy. For me, remembering the purpose on doing something make me able to feel productive and get my things done.

Remember to find something that you love to do because that is the way to love yourself :))

Sincerely yours,

Nazz

Perfect Night to Start Over

Dear fellas,
This is my first time of being productive since the last time I posted something here about 9 months ago. Actually, I really miss blogging. I've prepared many pictures and stuff, but the time didn't allow me to write this letter to you.

What do you think about night time? What people usually do at night time? Do they sleep? Do they party until the dawn? Do they have a long chit-chat with their mates? Or just staring at the window wondering about something beyond their minds? People have their own ways to spend the night. What will you do to spend your night, especially your Saturday night?

I don't have any special activities to do at night. TV, books, food, radio, and bed are my great companion to spend the night. I also enjoy writing at night. Based on an article I've read, night is the time where all your imaginations gone wild. Therefore, I have prepared my diary and pen to catch all those imaginations above my head. Music that plays on the radio somehow become more soothing and relaxing at night, but sometimes it wakes me up earlier because suddenly I can hear them on radio. I don't get used to sleep in a silent room, so I turn on the radio until morning.

Therefore, I think this is the perfect night to start my blog with the new passion, spirit, and hope. I wish I can write a letter to you more often. See you on the next letter!

Kind regards,

Nazz
